Prior to Acacia, Prathiba was a Senior Staff Attorney in the Immigration Practice at Her Justice. She trained and mentored pro bono attorneys in New York City law firms and provided legal assistance and representation to the Her Justice clients, particularly in Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) and U visa cases. Before Her Justice, Prathiba worked as an Immigrant Right’s Staff Attorney for the Empire Justice Center in Westchester, New York and an Immigration Attorney at My Sisters’ Place in Yonkers, New York. Prathiba received her J.D. from the City University of New York School of Law in 2012, her M.A. in Government and Politics from St. John’s University in 2008, and her B.A. in Political Science from Rutgers University in 2005. She is admitted to the New York and New Jersey Bar.
