Hortencia is the Director of Community Partnerships and Local and State Policy. She cultivates and builds strategic partnerships to support emergent areas of immigrants’ rights work and drives Acacia’s state and local policy initiatives to support partners’ efforts in meeting the needs of the communities they serve. She has over ten years of experience in program evaluation, child welfare direct services, and policy advocacy. She graduated from Wesleyan University with a B.A. in anthropology and the University of California, Berkeley, with an MPP/M.A. in international and area studies. Hortencia is from San Juan, Puerto Rico and is based in Los Angeles.
