Astha is a Senior Program Associate for Learning and Development at the Acacia Center for Justice, currently based in New York. Prior to joining Acacia, she spent seven years representing families and children in both detained and non-detained removal proceedings. In addition to her work in removal proceedings, Astha provided comprehensive legal representation to survivors of intimate partner violence in immigrant communities in both the Family and Supreme Court of New York. She earned her J.D. from Cardozo School of Law and a B.A. from the University at Buffalo, New York. With extensive experience working with diverse populations, Astha has dedicated her career to providing robust legal support to vulnerable immigrant communities.
