Farah Khan is a Senior Program Associate, Learning and Development with Acacia. Farah holds a J. D. from the George Washington School of Law. Prior to joining Acacia, Farah worked as a staff attorney at Kids in Need of Defense, where she directly represented unaccompanied children in their immigration cases. Before her time at KIND, she was a Skadden Fellow at CASA where she spent two years working on the development of coalitions fighting for the abolition of immigration detention and the establishment of universal representation for noncitizens facing deportation. She also directly represented individuals in removal proceedings and in affirmative matters. As a first generation immigrant, Farah is committed to creating a society free from detention and mass incarceration, where all human beings can thrive. In her free time, she enjoys watercolor painting and playing the fiddle.
