Alexandra was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, and has been passionate about immigration justice throughout her life, as her family is originally from Nicaragua. Before joining Acacia, Alexandra worked as the Programs and Outreach Coordinator for the Quixote Center, where she managed digital content, immigration advocacy, and co-led solidarity trips to migrant shelters in Latin America. She graduated from Kenyon College with a degree in International Studies and a minor in Spanish and Arabic. Now based in Washington DC, Alexandra enjoys attending cultural events, trying new food, and celebrating cherry blossom season.
