Ali began working on the Legal Orientation Program for Custodians of Unaccompanied Children (LOPC) at the Vera Institute of Justice and continued working on LOPC after transitioning to Acacia Center for Justice in July 2022. Before joining LOPC, she provided legal orientation to adults in detention through the Legal Orientation Program at Catholic Charities of Atlanta. Prior to orientation programs, she worked at a private immigration law firm that focused on family immigration and humanitarian relief.
