Bettina Rodriguez Schlegel has over a decade of experience working in the immigrant rights space. Prior to joining Acacia as Chief of Staff, Bettina directed the Legal Orientation Program and Immigration Court Helpdesk at the Vera Institute of Justice. After graduating from the UC College of Law, San Francisco, Bettina was a staff attorney for the Linking Immigrants to Benefits, Resources, and Education (LIBRE)  project at the Legal Aid Society of San Mateo County. Bettina earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Wesleyan University and is a born and bred Brooklynite.
