Daniel (he/him) is a Senior Program Associate with the Technical Compliance team of the Unaccompanied Children Program (UCP). Prior to joining Acacia, he worked for over nine years providing direct services to unaccompanied minors as a paralegal with Public Counsel’s Immigrants’ Rights Project. Daniel holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Warren Wilson College in Asheville, North Carolina, and has worked for several universities, including USC, UCLA, Tulane and UC San Diego. He and his partner live in the Echo Park neighborhood of Los Angeles with their two dogs, Billie and Ruben. In his spare time, Daniel enjoys reading, pulling off complicated dishes in the kitchen, and traveling as much as possible.
