Gina Waota

Accounting Manager – Billings & Collections

Gina Waota is a Certified Public Accountant and Financial Coach with over 20 years of experience working with individuals, small businesses, and nonprofit organizations.

Gina’s journey began in Haiti, where she spent her early years. At the age of 13, she made a life-changing decision to join her mother in the US, who had moved there five years earlier in pursuit of a better life.

Her professional journey started in 1998, fresh out of the University of Denver with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. She began her career at the renowned firm of KPMG, honing her skills as an auditor. Seeking new horizons, she transitioned to a senior corporate accounting role at a midsize telecommunication firm. In 2007, she achieved a significant milestone by becoming a Certified Public Accountant and establishing her own tax and accounting practice. Over the years, she nurtured her practice, expanding it to serve 1,500 clients with a team of 11 accountants and CPAs in San Francisco and Sacramento.

In 2014, Gina experienced a major health scare. This life-altering event prompted her to sell her practice and focus on her health. Emerging with a new lease on life, she now dedicates her expertise to companies driven by missions to improve the world.

Outside of her professional life, Gina is a mother to two adult daughters and has been happily married for over two decades. She finds joy in traveling, reading, practicing yoga, and embracing the balance between her personal and professional worlds.
