Liz is the Associate Program Director, Operations and Quality Assurance for Acacia’s Unaccompanied Children Program. She has a depth of experience representing unaccompanied children and youth in Los Angeles, where she grew up. Liz has dedicated her career to making high quality legal assistance accessible to all communities, having worked at various non-profits in Los Angeles. Additionally, Liz provided Know Your Rights presentations to mixed-status families all over Los Angeles County and trained community leaders, organizations, and pro bono attorneys in SIJS and probate guardianship law. Prior to joining Acacia Center for Justice, Liz was a Senior Program Associate and Program Manager at the Vera Institute of Justice, where she provided programmatic support to the Unaccompanied Children Program’s network of legal service providers. Liz is bilingual in English and Spanish and lives in Los Angeles with her family and their dogs.
