Alejandra Rosero is a Senior Program Associate with Acacia’s Unaccompanied Children Program. Prior to joining Acacia, she served as a Supervising Attorney at the Detention and Deportation Defense Initiative with the American Friends Service Committee in Newark, New Jersey, where she provided legal representation to detained immigrants and supervised a dedicated team. Alejandra began her career in immigration law and advocacy in 2014 as a staff attorney at American Gateways in San Antonio, Texas, where she provided legal support to immigrant families in detention. She later worked as a Senior Staff Attorney at Dolores Street Community Services in San Francisco, California, focusing on immigrant rights advocacy and removal defense. Alejandra holds a JD and Master of Laws in Intercultural Human Rights from St. Thomas University School of Law. Outside of work, she enjoys drawing and writing.
