Witness For Justice

Courtwatch for Immigrant Justice.

Because Justice Demands Witnesses.

What is Witness For Justice?

Witness For Justice is a volunteer-powered initiative that trains people across the country to observe immigration court proceedings and report on what they see. Our goal is to restore visibility and accountability to a system designed to operate in the shadows—and to ensure no one faces immigration court alone and unseen.

Why Storytelling?

Your story matters. Immigration court watch isn’t just about legal expertise—it’s about witnessing with intention and sharing from the heart. When you share what you saw—what moved you, what broke your heart, what made you act—you spark awareness, inspire action, and hold power to account.

You Won’t Be Alone

W4J supports you every step of the way:

  • Storytelling Workshops: Trauma-informed, creative spaces to process what you’ve seen and learn how to shape it into a story that moves people.
  • Story Guides & Creative Prompts: Tools and sample language to help you reflect, write, speak, or create around your observations.

Ways to Share: Opportunities to contribute to public reports, op-eds, social media, spoken word events, digital campaigns, and more—on your terms, in your voice.
