Jonathan is the Associate Director of Research and Evaluation for the Unaccompanied Children Program. Before joining Acacia, he led research and analysis on unaccompanied children’s issues at the Migration Policy Institute. He also served as a Congressional Science and Technology Policy Fellow on the U.S. Senate Finance Committee, managing immigration and human services portfolios, and was a professor of psychology at the University of Maryland, College Park, where he directed a research lab studying child development. Jonathan holds a Ph.D. in developmental psychology from Harvard University and a B.S. in symbolic systems from Stanford University. Based in Washington, DC, he enjoys live music and long walks.
