Sara is the Managing Director, Legal Access Programs at Acacia, overseeing Acacia’s legal orientation and legal access programs and improving access to legal information, advice, and support for immigrants at risk of deportation and detention. Prior to joining Acacia, Sara spent more than ten years in direct legal services, managing Public Counsel’s legal services to immigrant youth, conducting legal orientation programs, and providing to direct representation to detained immigrants and survivors or human trafficking. Sara holds a J.D. from USC Gould School of Law and a B.A. in sociology from Seattle Pacific University. She lives in Los Angeles, where she enjoys running/walking around her neighborhood and chasing after her two active kids.
