Andy Genz is a litigator and legal consultant currently in private practice. He is a former partner with McDermott Will & Emery LLP and has nearly 20 years of experience in complex litigation most often for insurers and government contractors, who has provided pro bono representation to immigrants from many different backgrounds in seeking asylum and defending themselves in removal proceedings. He helped found Acacia Center for Justice and has the privilege of serving as the Chair and President of its Board of Trustees since its incorporation. Since 2012, Andy has served in a variety of capacities on the Board of Directors of Amica Center for Immigrant Rights (formerly Capital Area Immigrants’ Rights Coalition), where he currently serves as the Chair and President. He lives in Washington, DC with his wife and two kids.
