Research and Evaluation Associate, CHIRP

Athena is a Research and Evaluation Associate working on the Children’s Holistic Immigration Representation Project that connects unaccompanied children in California with legal representation for their immigration cases as well as social services support. She is a mixed-methods researcher with interests in implementation science and participatory research methods. Prior to joining Acacia, Athena has conducted research on access to sexual and reproductive health care, precision medicine, and COVID-19. She graduated with a B.S. in global and public health sciences from Cornell University and an MPH in epidemiology from Columbia University. In her free time, Athena enjoys pottery, pilates, and petting dogs she meets on the streets of NYC.
